Our Impact

Giving Back

One of our cores beliefs at SunRae Studio is the importance of giving back to our communities. The people and environments that surround us and make up our communities give us so much, which is why we have committed to donating 5% from every purchase to worthy causes in our communities.

Currently, 5% from your purchases are donated to the incredibly important work of Water First NGO. Water First helps address water challenges in Indigenous communities in Canada through education, training and meaningful collaboration. They believe that the water crisis in Indigenous communities is intolerable and that education and skills training are essential in creating solutions that work for communities. We at SunRae Studio are of the same belief and are honoured to be able to support their work where we can. You can learn more about Water First's projects and the communities that they work with here.

Sustainability

Sustainability and our love for Mother Earth is another core value of everything we do at SunRae Studio. While the resin we work with itself is a petroleum-based product, we do our absolute best in other areas of our business to ensure we have a small environmental footprint.

We source the vast majority of our supplies from local, small, Canadian suppliers to keep greenhouse gas emissions associated with shipping goods as low as possible. When this is not possible, we focus on sourcing our supplies from larger Canadian companies or small suppliers from our neighbours in the United States.

Our packaging is also proudly plastic-free! Canada alone produces 3.3 million tons of plastic waste every year - almost half of which is from single-use plastics and packaging. We do not want to be a part of this problem that is flowing into our environment, our oceans and harming wildlife, which is why we ensure that our packaging materials are made from renewable resources that are easily recyclable or reusable. We also try to reuse packaging, like boxes and packing paper, from our supply orders to reduce our need for new materials wherever possible.

We are always learning and adapting our practices to ensure our love for Mother Earth and all of her inhabitants remains at our core.
